This past weekend’s Oslo Throwdown was a huge success, and the B.Friendy Fitness Fall European swing continues from Bilbao, Spain this weekend with the Basque Txapelketa.
When and Where
The competition is set to span three days, November 1-3 and take place in two locations, the Bilbao Arena and the famous Guggenheim Museum.
Athletes
The full roster of athletes can be found on wodbuster.
A majority of the athletes are Spanish, with a few internationals sprinkled in. On the women’s side Jacqueline Dahlstrom and Elena Carratala are probably the favorites. France’s Anais Lancry and a trio of Spanish women, Silvia Garcia, Alazne Egiazabal, and Ana Alquezar are the other most likely other podium contenders.
For the men it’s a very wide open field with the most successful competitors including Dami Martinez, Marc Carmona, Arnau Sabate, and Portugal’s Tiago Luzes. However, every time we go to a competition in Spain it seems like there’s another new relevant athlete who catches our attention; excited to see who it could be this time, possibly Inaxio Illarramendi.

Where to Watch
The elite men and women will be live-streamed on the B.Friendly Fitness YouTube channel. Brian will be on site, as will as our friend behind the scenes, Rodri this time! He usually assists in a backend technical role from home, but being in Spain he is heading up to help over the weekend- which means we may be able to try a few new features this weekend. Keep an eye out on instagram for the exact starting times for each workout’s livestream on each day of competition.
